Exit Aldershot Station and walk straight on down Station Road (following signs for Information Centre) until you reach a set of lights. Turn right.
This road leads to the Naafi roundabout. Follow 'By Car' instructions from there.
Distance from train station is 2.5 miles. There is a taxi rank outside station. Please allow enough time for your journey. We suggest that you arrive at least an hour before the event.

Parking

There are plenty of parking spaces available at the site. Please note that while we can park you right at the venue, there is only one entrance and exit so there might be a short queue while you exit the site.

Information

There will be an information point in the start / finish area.

Baggage

Although we cannot guarantee the security of your bags, there will be a manned baggage area for you to leave your bags in. If you have travelled by car, it will be safer to leave your bags and valuables in your car boot.

Changing

Men and Women's changing marquees will be available. You should arrive in your running clothes but please bring another complete set of warm clothing with you. Do not go home in any wet clothing. Please note, there are no showers.

What to Wear?

Clothing

You will get dirty and wet. We recommend that you wear a synthetic T-shirt or long sleeve shirt on your upper body and possibly some running tights on your legs. The materials should ideally wick away sweat and dry quickly when wet. Cotton is not good at this. Technical breathable fabrics are perfect for this event and are strongly recommended. Remember, when cotton gets wet it gets heavy.

Footwear

Off-road running shoes would be ideal for the terrain.

i-pod?

Up to you but it'll get wet. Some people fall in the puddles, others actively dive in. It WILL get wet!

Course

This land is used to test Army vehicles so expect it to be interesting! You will reach a long hill shortly after the start before descending again eventually reaching a water filled ravine. You will run on over puddle-strewn paths before having to crawl under camouflage netting. You'll eventually reach some man-made mounds before arriving at and running through some rather large puddles. Expect to get very wet! You'll run on to the fast vehicle driving circuit where it is rocky underfoot. This brings you to some more large areas of water and the finish area.

Timing

We will be using ChampionChip timing again this year. This will give you your time from the second you cross the line to the second you finish. The system is extremely accurate and it means that results can be posted on our website within a couple of hours of the race.

Your race chip will be sent with the race pack no earlier than November 1st as runners tend to loose the chip. PLEASE tie the chip around your ankle and NOT your wrist - the mats will not pick them up and you won't get a time.

The chips themselves are relatively expensive so we must get the chips back. If you cannot make the race, please return your chips in the envelope that will be provided or we will charge you £10. At the run, we'll collect the chips back after the finish line

First Aid

Medical support will be present on the course and at the finish. You should be relatively fit and have no known medical conditions. Please note - do not run with a cold or flu. This can be extremely dangerous.

Toilets

Water

Water will be available once on the course and at the finish. Please bring your own water to drink prior to the start.
